THE CONTINUOUS TESTS ON THE PRODUCTS LET US CONFIRM THAT… THE BEHAVIOUR OF THE GLASS VARIES ACCORDING TO THE TYPE OF INTERLAYER USED FOR THE LAMINATING.

rigid interlayer | SG-SENTRYGLAS
Tempered laminated glass with SG (SentryGlas). After breaking the two glass plates with a hammer, the plate remains almost levelled and resists an additional load of 40-50 kg/sqm. NO CHANGES AT HIGH TEMPERATURES.

rigid interlayer | X-LAB, ABAR Or SIMILAR
TEMPERED GLASS 10+10 LAMINATED WITH X-LAB. After breaking the two glass plates with a hammer, the plate remains levelled and resists an additional load of 60-70 Kg/sqm. NO CHANGES AT HIGH TEMPERATURES.
TEMPERED GLASS 10+10 LAMINATED WITH ABAR (PUJOL). After breaking the two glass plates with a hammer, the plate remains levelled and resists an additional load of 40-50 kg/sqm. SMALL MODIFICATION AT HIGH TEMPERATURES.
OTHER MODELS OF INTERLAYERS LIKE THE DG41 DO NOT BEAR ANY CHARGE AT HIGH TEMPERATURES (OVER 40˚ C).
HOWEVER, AFTER BREAKING, THE GLASS DOES NOT FALL INSTANTANEOUSLY AND THOSE INTERLAYERS ALSO COMPLY WITH THE UNI 7697 NORM ON THE POST - BREAKAGE.

SAFETY BOLT
SAFETY FIRST.
To complete the correct installation of the canopy, it is necessary to insert the safety bolt to block the glass in total security.

AVOID GLASS COLLAPSING
THE GLASS FIXING AND RELATIVE ACCESSORIES.
- The profile must be anchored in continuity to the wall.
- The plates must be firmly fixed in continuity to the aluminium profile with specific accessories to avoid collapsing.

PVB Or EVA ON LINEA
TEMPERED LAMINATED GLASS WITH PVB OR EVA.
After breaking the two glass plates with a hammer, they fall instantly down! IF YOU WANT TO USE THIS TYPE of glass, YOU NEED TO POSITION THE CANOPY AT 2 m ABOVE THE GROUND + THE LENGTH OF THE PROJECTION OF THE GLASS IN A WAY THAT, BY FALLING, IT DOES NOT HIT ANY PERSONS.
IT DOES NOT COMPLY WITH THE UNI 7697 ITALIAN NORM ON THE POST-BREAKAGE.

Double fixing
WITH THE SNOW LOAD AND/OR THE WIND PRESSURE IN DEPRESSION, THE ACTION ON FASTENERS CAN REACH HIGH VALUES.
We need a profile with a larger contact base on the support, with two rows of fasteners, that avoids the “hinge” effect and reduces the effort on the single fixing.
